We have built a group of researchers and educators who contribute new knowledge on the diseases affecting our community and who implement the curriculum for the MD program, MBS program and, later on, for doctoral programs in the basic sciences as well as combined doctoral programs. Communication and collaboration are the hallmarks of our success within the 11 departmental disciplines:
We have found common ground for interactions that make our teaching and research productive, innovative and interesting. It is our hope that scientific learning and research will be elevated in the region through collaborative partnerships with other colleges and universities that utilize shared facilities, learning centers and joint professorships.
In the future, we look forward to the establishment of a PhD program in the basic sciences in all eleven areas of research. We are also looking forward to the development of an MD-PhD program and MD-MPH program.
At TCMC, we have the unique opportunity to develop a structure for education and research that will better serve the needs of our region.
