OSP Funding Resources

Funding for research projects can come from federal, state and private sources - government agencies, corporations and foundations, nonprofit organizations are some examples. Goals of sponsors vary, so preliminary contact can be important if not essential. In the search for funding, some good places to start are below.

  • is the federal government’s initial solution for a “one-stop-shop” for funding and application funding.
  • is the U.S. government’s virtual marketplace.
  • Federal Register is published by the Office of the Federal Register, National Archives and Records Administration (NARA). It is the official daily publication for rules, proposed rules, and notices of federal agencies and organizations, as well as executive orders and other presidential documents.
  • Commerce Business Daily/Federal Business Opportunities

When preparing a proposal, you will need to understand the proposal process. Please contact OSP to discuss your particular funding opportunity in detail early in your application development process.
